• Messages: We store messages you send and receive to deliver them to the intended recipients. Messages are stored on our servers to enable message history and multi-device access.
• Media: Photos, videos, and files you share in conversations are stored on our servers to deliver them to recipients.
• Device Tokens: We collect push notification tokens to deliver notifications to your device.
• Usage Data: We collect basic usage data such as online status and last seen time to provide presence features.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the messaging service
• To deliver your messages and media to intended recipients
• To send push notifications for new messages
• To display online status and typing indicators
• To improve and optimize the app experience

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit. Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms and are never stored in plain text.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your messages are only visible to the participants of a conversation. We may use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): For delivering push notifications
• Cloudflare: For content delivery and storage

Your messages and account data are retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

Toku is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
